Econ-O-MY

Economics; the subject i failed once... now the US is failing it too. Not just people working for newspapers, or recording studios. Its also putting many actors out of a job. I recently went to a casting seminar and people in the audience, actors, union and non union, were jokingly(so, seriously) asking how they could get an audition TODAY NIGGLE. sorry, im drinking wine. SO. my point is: EVEN ACTORS(commercial, tv show, etc) are having trouble finding work. The number of union vs non-union gettting audtions and getting hired has gone from approx 80/20 to almost 50/50. . . not 100% sure how that ties in but its a fun fact. yay!! I sure hope i get a commercial soon. I need to get me some hardcore dolla dolla bill y'all. u feel me? of course u do.

what have we learned today? probably nothing. except what we already knew:

we're all broke as hell. once again, not all actors make bank. Most of them are out of a job.

PURPOSE.

You see the sunshine's rays gleaming through the trees or into a window and watch the dust just floating in the air. Sounds like a vision before sunset right? INDEED. Fame sounds like a vision somewhere before sunset & highland boulevard. Hmmm...
Sunshine dust sounds magical, even tho its just the light from the sun bringing to our attention we breath in dust particles all day. Fame seems all fantastic until the big dreamers usually realize theres a bunch of hard work and rejection involved.
This blog series is about the latter. How fame, and getting to the top is not as glamorous as it seems. Truth be told Hollywood is very dirty. If you breath in too deeply you may catch hepatitis A, B, and/or C. Crazy people walking around in the world all found their way to H-town., along with the scantily clad females about to get their dance on in whichever club will let em in for free or they know the bouncer.
This is just an out for me to "observe and report" as I am on my current path in life making my way into the industry. It definitely has it perks but everything comes with some kind of price.
